The Odin Mk3 is a completely redesigned version of the famous Odin kit, which uses the latest drive unit technologies of the Excel product line. This kit uses two W18E001 woofers and a single "MILLENNIUM" T25CF002 tweeter mounted in D Appolito configuration for each cabinet.

The cabinet is a bass reflex design with the vent positioned at the rear. This directs any potential venting noise away from the listener and allows a minimum deflector area in the front. The pvc door tube is supported by an internal deflector which helps to maintain the same air flow on each end of the tube and also serves as additional bracing of the cabinet. The port tuning frequency is 31Hz.

The crossover network is conventional except for a parallel circuit that suppresses the peak response due to the magnesium cone. The crossover frequency is 2.5kHz. The Odin Mk3 was designed by Dr. Joseph D Appolito and was developed as an accompaniment kit to the Thor transmission system.

It offers the following comments regarding the Odin MK3 performance:

"The ventilated box is calibrated about 15% less than the ubiquitous QB3 alignment to provide a more subdued bass response. Several hundred hours of laboratory and listening tests have been incorporated into this system. You cannot literally know. where the woofers start and the tweeter starts ".
