AMB2050WBAR is a digital amplifier board complete with WiFi, Bluetooth and optional remote control. Supports AirPlay, DLNA and several popular streaming services.

With no less than 50 watts of power per channel (4Ω), ultra-complete connectivity and a plethora of advanced features (Multiroom, dedicated app control), the UP2STREAM WiFi & BT amplification module is the ideal choice for construction / repair projects / improvement for active speakers and integrated amplifiers. Enjoy FDA technology with its excellent power / space ratio.

The PCB supports Airplay, DLNA, Spotify Connect, Qplay, UPnP. It directly supports the decoding of files up to 192kHz - 24 bit and can play files from a local network, a platform for streaming on the Internet, a physical medium (USB key) or even a physical medium connected to a remote device (PC, smartphone etc..).

Complete digital amplifier

The amplification stage is built around an STMicroelectronics STA 326 chip. It is a complete digital amplifier (FDA), a popular approach to its power / size ratio.

FDA technology does not require conversion, amplification only requires a digital input stream. This allows the module to perform the essential functions of a complete audio system by itself: receiving the audio stream, decoding the flow (if it is not already I2S), volume control and power amplification.

With this integration, the amplification module is able to drive loads from 4 to 16Ω. A 2x50W with a 1% THD and a linear response on the 20Hz-20kHz band can supply energy with a 4 Ω load.

Amplifier Board WB50

The UP2STREAM amplifier module includes a Linkplay A31 unit. Connectivity was developed specifically for audio use with native DLNA and Multiroom support.

This Wi-Fi connection offers a function-type network unit to which audio data can be transmitted from a smartphone / tablet app.

Broadband connectivity (802.11b / g / n with a bandwidth of 300 Mbps) allows the transfer of dematerialized audio streams up to 192kHz / 24-bit.

Finally, this feature is not exclusive to a single device, as this unit is ready for multiroom. That is, for multiple modules of this type they can work together, each connected to its pair of passive speakers and be controlled collectively or individually by a single connected device.

Once mounted in the enclosure, this module can easily join an existing installation thanks to two line inputs. These are available via a stereo RCA connector and a 2.54 XH type connector.

Likewise, a LAN connector (RJ45) adds another level of security and stability and will be highly appreciated if someone from the WiFi broadcaster repeater fails. It is also useful or for very large multiroom systems with remote units.

With the line output, the A50 can also function as a pre-amplifier. It is an entire system audio output, regardless of WiFi, Bluetooth, USB or DLNA sources. You can connect the line output to another amplifier to set up a BGM of a larger house.

Many services available

UP2STREAM modules have their app called 4STREAM (Android and IOS). The latter is used to group essential control functions (volume, EQ), reading (track selection, playback / pause, connection to an online streaming service) and even live streaming (direct sending of an audio file from the built-in memory of the phone / tablet).

Many services are supported starting from AirPlay, DLNA, Spotify Connect, UPNP, Internet radio and stereo pairing (sending each channel on a dedicated amplifier module, then synchronization). There is also an advanced version of the latter function with Line-In on All Speakers, which allows each module to share and synchronize the input signal with the whole multiroom network.

Finally, the device can natively connect to many audio resources: Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, QQ Music, Napster, etc.
